Lesson 4_ Canadian HolidaysCanada has several holidays throughout the year, including:

  1. New Year’s Day – January 1st
  2. Family Day – third Monday in February (not observed in all provinces)
  3. Good Friday – varies depending on the lunar calendar (usually in March or April)
  4. Victoria Day – the Monday preceding May 25th
  5. Canada Day – July 1st
  6. Labour Day – first Monday in September
  7. Thanksgiving Day – second Monday in October
  8. Remembrance Day – November 11th
  9. Christmas Day – December 25th
  10. Boxing Day – December 26th

In addition to these national holidays, each province and territory may have their own unique holidays as well. For example, Québec has Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24th, which celebrates the province’s patron saint and cultural heritage.
