Lesson 4_ Canadian HolidaysCanada has several holidays throughout the year, including:
- New Year’s Day – January 1st
- Family Day – third Monday in February (not observed in all provinces)
- Good Friday – varies depending on the lunar calendar (usually in March or April)
- Victoria Day – the Monday preceding May 25th
- Canada Day – July 1st
- Labour Day – first Monday in September
- Thanksgiving Day – second Monday in October
- Remembrance Day – November 11th
- Christmas Day – December 25th
- Boxing Day – December 26th
In addition to these national holidays, each province and territory may have their own unique holidays as well. For example, Québec has Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day on June 24th, which celebrates the province’s patron saint and cultural heritage.
