The Teacher Trainer

“Carina Soares is currently a teacher trainer at International House Career College. She first graduated in the educational field of science and later obtained a certificate in TEFL. After working as an instructor in varied educational settings for over 10 years, she started her TESL career in Vancouver, Canada. She completed her TESL certification and gained experience in not only teaching, but also counseling. Her next step was the Cambridge DELTA certification and becoming part of the teacher training staff. Finally, a DoS certification helped her succeed in a new role as academic coordinator for the Modern Languages department.
Sharing her knowledge and experience with new teachers is definitely one of the most rewarding tasks she does.”
